NGL, your demake really impressed me, I wish you could do the same thing on SEGA Megadrive/Genesis!
I really want to see how GD would sound and look like on 16bit console, that would be great for SEGA Genesis users to try it out, great stuff
... the players of that time were fans of this game and why it is relevant.
A little bit about the game. The "rhythm" style of games didn't catch on to me before. BUT over time, I got carried away and was interested in going through them. In our city, "Geometry Dash" is impossible to get (for some reason). But even so, after hearing the tracks and seeing the video clips, I was interested and wanted to try the experience for myself
"Who says you have to play this? The game is not your level. The game is not of your genre and association" - One person asked me a question and tried to approve. And I will answer like this: Curiosity!
And you know, after completing 12 main levels and one of Increased Difficulty, although I did not fall in love with her, I gained experience and pleasure from the game. Yes... I died 100-150 times, but as soon as I received the sign: "The stage is passed," pride played in me.
Can I recommend her? Not for everyone.
Why?
- reason: Casual players will immediately throw it away because it is too difficult for them (that is, the difficulty is not for everyone)
- reason: These are photosensitive people. Personally, I had an unpleasant experience in the game because of the palette of the local green color (it was a mixture of white + green) and it was unpleasant to play and hurt my eyes.
Will I lower my grade because of this? No! BECAUSE these factors do not deserve to be downgraded, because Homebrew is quite competent and interesting. And the pain of the "green color" is just my problem!
That's all i have to say. i was one of the nightly testers btw (here's a paragraph so i can actually publish the review, and here's an extension to that paragraph.)
this is the greatest nes game i've ever seen, nothing can top this. my only request is for a proper editor to be made for the game. i already know about the sram issues, i just mean an editor less complicated than the one that currently exists for the game, and at least compress the half-dozen batch files into 1? as for the actual game, the physics are more responsive than the original. 10/10
