«CONTRA (魂斗羅 / コントラ) SGB Enhanced» is a hack of CONTRA (魂斗羅 / コントラ) (Japan) (Game Boy). This hack adds a custom border and custom colour set to make this game compatible with the Super Game Boy peripheral. «CONTRA (魂斗羅 / コントラ)» for Game Boy is the Eastern (Japan) version of the game CONTRA on Game Boy. This hack aims to improve the player experience by bringing the game closer to the original development of the CONTRA series. This game is a new entry in the CONTRA saga and serves as a predecessor to the game CONTRA 4 on Nintendo DS. To do so, the game uses the tiles and color palettes from both CONTRA (NES) and «CONTRA 4» (Nintendo DS) games. This patch can be applied directly on this ROM: “Contra (Japan)”.
