Intro
-
These preset releases are exclusive to Romhack Plaza in commemoration of the affiliation with FFV Central.
-
You can't find these presets anywhere else—not even in our Discord. But they do require FFV: Whirlwind dev builds, which are from the Discord.
-
The release build of Whirlwind is on RHP, but it only supports the random-jobs challenge. It doesn't support all these different game modes that these presets aim for.
Overview
-
The presets are optional add-on patches that preconfigure every "New Game" to the game type you want to play.
-
Each preset also comes with a custom title screen to help you keep track of what you're playing. See the screenshots for examples.
-
Devised in response to player feedback on the difficulty of manually configuring game types.
For More Presets
-
Check back every few weeks or so for the possibility of a new preset! The previous presets will remain, so you won't have to worry about missing them.
-
Don't want to wait? All of the game types of the upcoming presets can be played in the current dev builds. You just need to do manual configuration via the Config menus.
-
For patching or configuring assistance or other technical support, create a ticket in the Help channel of our Discord.
RoadmapThe default game configuration of Whirlwind dev build is "Whirlwind Modern" (also called "Whirlwind Experimental"). Each additional preset will bump up the major version number of this preset pack by one.
