Description

A Lot of hacking to add new GFX details, Polishments, Timing improvements, Sound samples, New features… Master Linkuei did all this stuff with the help from Billytime!Games.
Master Linkuei remade all the bio and ending screen using the arcade gfx as base. Including the 2 absent ending screens from Kano.
Every graphic made by PROBE Software was completely changed or improved by Master Linkuei, Chev Chelios and Danilo Dias to look more accurate.
New animations for the Courtyard (monks and tsung), Palace Gates (Flame), Warrior’s Shrine (Flame during Ermac fight) and Throne Room (Shang Tsung head + Shang Tsung clap).
Added +80 sound samples from the Arcade!
BillyTime!Games added a whole new SRAM system to save the Winning Streak name list.
Improved gameplay removing delays and improving the whole timing.
Option to change between original Music order or a more accurate one.

And MUCH more… V.1-0c adds compatibility for third party six button controllers. Tested with Hyperkin and 8BitDo controllers. Special Thanks to IEqualShane for his help!

v.1-0d fixes up some SRAM code and now boots properly in Picodrive. Thanks to SPKLeader for his help!

Mk Arcade edition But not quite

The Arcade edition have had numerous updates and improvements, however for some reason the work of the Rael G.C. Enhanced edition is always left out in this version, wich i think is sad i as a lot of graphical touchup is missing here.

Crosss flashing seems to work just fine, but if this process overwrites the updates of v1.0d im not sure.

This is still an amazing hack, but i personally feel the MKA ED v2.2 is the more defined and polished version of the two..

Rael G.C. works independently from the original modders and his hacks are slight spin offs from these ones. He did get permission from Master Lin Kuei to add his improvements in so his work is justified. What we need now is the two sides to work together instead of having two separate camps work on improving this hack separately.

The fact you mentioned the word "enhanced" makes me think about the Mortal Kombat Arcade Edition Enhanced hack, which is an addendum made by Rael G.C.

Dude, I don't understand this hack. It was updated on January 19, 2026 to version 1.0d? But how is that possible if I have the latest version here, which is 2.2 Enhanced? Could there have been some mistake?

Great fix BILLYTIME GAMES. Mortal Kombat 1 Arcade Edition can now be played on an original system with any 6 button controller, buttons start and C are fixed and respond with each press. Thank you.
